I regularly get asked the question of how, exactly I help families get better sleep. It’s a great question!

First, I offer a free call to discuss the sleep issues their child is facing. Free tips just flow out of my mouth. I can’t help it. After that, if they want to know more, they can choose a package from my website. I have a few options, big and small.

Next, I send them a sleep history questionnaire to gather more details about their sleep situation. It can take. 20 minutes or an hour plus to fill it out. It just depends on whether or not the family has thought about the things I am asking. Plus I send access to my Better Sleep Video series that is included with all the combo packages I offer.

Then, using all the information gathered, I create a personalized sleep plan for the family. This plan includes step-by-step instructions to help them achieve their sleep goals, whether it’s sleeping through the night or something else.

Following the creation of those steps, we then have a consultation either in person or over the phone or my favorite, video chat with Zoom or Skype or FaceTime or whatever. I love face to face and we can do that no matter where you live. The day after they start implementing the plan, we discuss how the first night went and make any necessary adjustments. Throughout the process, we continue to communicate through various channels like email, calls and texts. The level of support they receive depends on the support package they choose, and they can always start with a smaller package and upgrade later. I teach them how to teach their child good sleep habits.

The approaches I like best are gentle, responsive, and backed by scientific evidence. I have personally experienced many of the sleep scenarios that families bring to me, as I have five children of my own. While that personal experience certainly helps me be a good sleep coach, I am extensively trained and have an impressive success track record.
